• BAA welcomes members of the public who are licensed to fish in Northern Ireland (i.e. an NI Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, DAERA licence) and who have a BAA Day ticket.
• All duly authorised anglers must conduct themselves in a quiet and dignified manner, must not light fires and must not discard angling or other litter. All anglers must take every care to avoid damaging trees, crops or any other property in the vicinity of the Association’s waters. 
• BAA’s members and court appointed Private Water Bailiffs (two for each lake) are entitled to check whether anglers are complying with the Association’s rules and by-laws. 
• Visiting anglers who do not comply with the rules will be suspended or excluded from fishing on the waters.

• For the Holywood waters (Creighton’s Green and Upper Holywood), day tickets (2025, £18) are available from Hannah’s Flowers, Church Road, Holywood, BT18 9BU. Day tickets are for one water only and cannot be transferred. Visiting anglers with a DAERA Annual Permit may purchase a concessionary ticket at £14. 
• The Holywood waters are designated game fisheries (rainbow and brown trout) and the rules and by-laws are summarised on the day-tickets (inc. bag limit and the requirement to return all rainbow trout under 12 inches, and all brown trout, safely to the water).

• For Ballydugan Lake, day tickets are available from the Lakeside Inn, Ballydugan, BT30 8HY. The Inn is closed on Sundays and tickets for Sunday fishing must therefore be bought on the preceding Saturday. The lake holds a large number of pike and other coarse fish. However, it is a DAERA designated game fishery and under DAERA rules, anglers must have a game licence for each rod, (maximum 2). Day tickets are £15 (total) for two rods.
• Ballydugan Lake has boats for use by members only. Day ticket anglers may accompany a BAA member in a boat. Life jackets must be worn in boats.
